This role is within Investor Services:
Our client provides an array of customized investment solutions to asset managers, pension funds, hedge funds, insurance companies, collective funds, mutual funds and non profits. Investor Services is the business unit within the organisation that supports the bank as a Custodian. There are several different departments, each playing their own role in providing custody services that are highly scalable and truly global.
Responsibilities:
1.Industry Knowledge & Experience:
• Develop and stay current with SSBT strengths that differentiate us from the competition;
• Maintain a deep understanding of Asset Owner & Asset Manager operational requirements;
• Maintain a high level understanding of all SSBT products and services from complex back office outsourcing to bundled custody & fund accounting services;
• Develop relationships with external third-parties who will have influence over clients and prospects (e.g. consultants, associations);
• Proven ability to self develop competencies and keep abreast of industry initiatives.

2.Customer management:
To develop, agree and lead customer account plans for tier 1 and tier 2 IS UK MEA customers, working closely with other departments within IS and the rest of SSC. This will include developing senior level relationships within the customer/prospect segments and coordinating all SSBT activity.
• Have direct responsibility for all aspects of the commercial, strategic and contractual relationships with customers;
• Develop senior level contacts within all assigned customers who have decision making roles;
• To identify cross-sell opportunities and formulate a plan to introduce and implement to customers;
• Co-ordinate with all others areas of SSC to create cross selling opportunities for the firm;
• Develop and maintain an executive calling program for SSBT executives with tier 1 and tier 2 customers;
• Define and agree a service measurement program with tier 1 and tier 2 customers that can be monitored through the use of customer report card and enquiry tracking processes;
• Ensure regular reviews of service quality take place between the customer and the SSBT customer service delivery team.

3.Financial Management:
To be responsible for existing customer financials and be able to manage to SSBT shareholder goals
• Responsible for preparation of proposed deal and customer financials in coordination with appropriate internal stakeholders and ensuring that the new business review procedures are consistently followed.
• Provide quarterly updates on the financial health of customers and own plans to remediate unprofitable customers

4.Strategic account development and sales:
To be responsible for attaining new and incremental revenue targets in pre-agreed business and customer sectors for IS and the wider State Street.
• To lead the sales process for SSBT for new and incremental opportunities;
• Develop and maintain an executive calling program for SSBT executives with tier 1 and tier 2 customers;
• Lead the development of strategic business opportunities;
• Assist in preparation and review of formal bid responses and ensure that all internal stakeholders have agreed to proposed commercial terms;
• Ensure that the product management function has reviewed all proposed services and has qualified the technical scope of any business opportunities;
• Facilitate a high level of collaboration with the Relationship Management Group for all tier 1 customers to ensure that any IS related action plan is effectively communicated.

5.Industry Leadership:
Represent SSBT in all industry/marketing events as and when necessary.
• Attend industry forums and externals events (e.g. conferences) as and when appropriate;
• Assist in the planning and participate in SSBT customer forums and play a leading role in the delivery of our messages to existing and potential customers;
• Lead on customer surveys and proactively manage customer responses and programs that improve our customer perception;
• Establish and maintain a number of key relationships with the trade press to ensure effective coverage of SSBT in the marketplace (liaising with internal & external PR and having the required media training).
Requirements:
• Sales experience;
• Proven track record in achieving revenue generating targets;
• Proven experience in financial services industry and are FSA registered;
• Media trained and experienced in representing State Street in industry events;
• Proven in presentation skills;
• Experience in deal management and commercial negotiating skills.
